Deep reissues outfit TNT slam the T-detonator on two essential fuses from the same era. Both stemming from the dancehall fusion wave of the early noughties, Blu Cantrell's 'Breathe' and Beyonce's 'Baby Boy' most patently contain a Sean Paul feature each, but the connection runs deeper than that: as majors pushed to commercialise r&b via Caribbean music influences at that time, these tracks carry that sparse, peppery hitmaking steeze, 'Breathe' packed with classic Sean Paul ribaldry and 'Baby Boy' an equally sexual, pop-bashment fantasy stash.
