KRASH SLAUGHTA - A Tribe Called Krash (limited 7")

KRASH SLAUGHTA
A Tribe Called Krash

Format: limited 7"
Genre: Hip Hop/R&B

Glasgow turntablist Krash Slaughta takes a fairly impolite approach to A Tribe Called Quest here, which is half the fun. 'Scenario' gets its Native Tongues bounce roughed up by a guitar riff that chews straight through the beat and lands nearer Gravediggaz than Queens jazz-rap. 'Buggin' Out', made with the late Soul Condor, is the sweeter flip: the famous bass-led skeleton is recast with a Latin lilt and some of that hazy 'Bonita Applebum' warmth. Cheeky business, but done with ears.
