DJ KOCO aka SHIMOKITA feat QASB
Carolina Carol Bela

Format: limited 7"
Genre: Funk

Tokyo's DJ KOCO aka SHIMOKITA is the Shimokitazawa-based 45 wizard who has been turning heads from the Bronx to Las Vegas with his logic-defying 7" juggling, and now he returns to Bloom Music for his third outing and it proves to be his most Brazil-centric move yet. Digging deep into his crates, he lights on 'Carolina, Carol Bela', the 1970 gem by Brazilian titans Jorge Ben and Toquinho, and rebuilds it from the ground up alongside Q.A.S.B. in a lush, groove-forward Brazilian funk arrangement that will bring Latin heat to any setting. The original's warmth and melody remain fully intact, but it's the rhythm and propulsion that are entirely new. Floor-ready and timeless all at once.
