BEYONCE
B'day (20th Annivesary Edition)

Format: limited gatefold 180 gram vinyl 2xLP + booklet
Genre: Pop

Beyonce Knowles' 2006's second album, written and recorded in barely two weeks at Sony's own studios while on a break from filming Dreamgirls. The album was a controversial one, first headed up by 'Deja Vu' - the suggestive, gold-glittered Brookyln crunk hit graced by Darkchild handclaps and a Jay Z feature from early in the Bey and J power coupledom - and 'Ring The Alarm' - rumoured to be about Rihanna's love-triangular relationship with the same rapper. This 31-track anniversary edition folds the 2006 original in with 2007's deluxe additions and a vault haul: 'Creole', 'Back Up', 'Lost Yo Mind' and 'Can I Watch You'.
