AFRO MEDUSA - Pasilda (reissue) (LP)

AFRO MEDUSA
Pasilda (reissue)

Format: LP
Genre: Funky/Club Housemu

At the turn of the Millennium, West London trio Afro Medusa scored a massive international club hit with debut single 'Pasilda', a sun-soaked, salsa-powered Latin house delight. Here, it gets the reissue treatment it deserved, with the threesome's gorgeous, carnival-ready original mix being joined by a clutch of key remixes from the time. There's a wickedly bass-heavy and percussive stepper from Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, a joyous and piano-rich Latin house roller by Knee Deep, a breathlessly up-tempo and sub-heavy Klubbheads rub, a smooth and synth-heavy Blank & Jones translation, a dubby Balearic head-nodder from Afterlife, a sleazy 4/4 UK garage bumper by Siege and a fizzing two-step revision by Sunship.
