Second 7" on Home Time following 'I Wanna'/'Ala Bama', which became one of the more talked-about small-run hip-hop edits of last year. Under the Spellspellspell alias, DJ Spell - turntablism world champion, with SP-404 as primary instrument when he's not fader-chopping - has been running two parallel careers, but both inform this new follow-up piece. 'Burn' on the A and 'Brick' on the flip share the same method: sample-based frames, sparse, drums placed thickly in the thick of short compositions, function-first. The last edition sold out; these won't hang around either.
