Boogie Down Edits is a re-edit crew based in Los Angeles, California, and they have been dropping some red-hot reworks for a while. Here they tackle some of hip-hop and r&b's most legendary sounds and do so with a great sense of knowing - knowing how much to remove, what to leave, and how to beef up the beats to make sure they get maximum cut-through. The opening 'Saturday Edit' takes a smooth original, loops the gorgeous female leads and smooth bars, which are completed with tender piano chords and buttery vocals, but a more propulsive deep house groove for the club.
