Pure beat-driven brilliance underscores this tidy two-tracker from the Baller Beats label outta Canada. It is steeped in true school and classic vibes, with dusty drums swinging low and the crispest boom-bap you can imagine. The bars flow smoothly and recall the good vibrations of De La Soul on 'Turn The Party Out,' while some neat scratching throws it back to the OG scene without sounding tired. 'Gotta Believe' then finds DJ Goce touching up and original soul gem that has been rather underrated but now might get the eyes and ears it deserves. The drums are huge and the sunshine strings are even bigger.
