For its 200th release, the mighty GAMM crew looks back to where it began and that was 'Follow Me' by Red Astaire aka the late Fredrik Lager, a longtime friend of the imprint. They revisit that opening salvo as a way of paying tribute to a foundational track and the artist behind it. Soul Supreme leads by reshaping the original with live instrumentation and a warmer, fuller palette. The jazz-funk lean of 'Follow Me' sits comfortably alongside the breezier 'Follow My Samba'. Respectful but also still a gem of a tune, this is a thoughtful celebration of legacy and a great milestone for GAMM.
