Format: limited coke bottle green vinyl 7"
Genre: Disco/Nu-Disco

More from Mexican maestro Monsieur Von Pratt, a prolific producer and re-editor who finally joined the Too Slow To Disco edits family late last year. As he did with his first missive for the imprint, the popular producer has taken his scalpel to two obscure central American disco numbers - Spanish language covers of familiar disco favourites to be exact. On side A we get 'Solo Tu Y Yo', a Mexican take on 'Just The Two Of Us' that's languid, loved-up and rich in fluid slap-bass, twinkling keys and metronomic slow-disco beats. Over on the flip, Monsieur Von Pratt reworks a heavyweight cover of Diana Ross favourite 'Upside Down', a more low-slung and dub disco-influenced affair flecked with spacey synth-strings and powered forwards by a suitably heavy bassline.
