Miguel Campbell collaborator and long-serving producer Matt Hughes is not a newcomer to Too Slow To Disco, having previously delivered edits and official remixes on a number of prior releases. This two-tracker, though, marks his first physical edit release for the popular imprint. For reasons that will become obvious when you listen to the clips, the TSTD crew has decided not to release details of what he's re-edited, but both cuts are genuine low-tempo disco-era classics. First up is 'Tonight', a low-slung, head-nodding delight in which sun-splashed guitar licks and looped vocal snippets ride a rubbery bassline and crunchy beats. 'Days Gone By', meanwhile, is an ultra-slow, seductive and eyes-closed re-shape of a much-loved artist who once had unlimited love to give... and an orchestra to prove it.
