DJ SHADOW
The Mountain Will Fall (Special 10th Anniversary Edition)

Format: gatefold 2xLP in spot-varnished sleeve
Genre: Hip Hop/R&B

DJ Shadow has never been one for standing still, even if Endtroducing (his landmark 1996 debut) continues to cast a long shadow over everything he's done since. This 2016 album, in particular, finds Josh Davis chasing fresh ideas and keeping one foot firmly in his own world. 'Nobody Speak' with Run The Jewels is the obvious headline act, all swagger and off-kilter boom bap, then 'Bergschrund' pairs Shadow's restless imagination with Nils Frahm's leftfield touch. 'The Sideshow' then serves up the kind of dusty, cut-and-paste hip-hop that's become Shadow's calling card.
